On Friday, March 28th, FlexSchool Bronxville will take a full-school field trip to the BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham in Robbinsville, NJ, a marvel of Hindu temple architecture and possibly the second largest Hindu temple globally, after Cambodia's Angkor Wat, UNESCO World Heritage Site. It stands as a beacon of Hinduism's universal values: peace, harmony, tolerance, service, and devotion.
Students will enjoy a 45-minute guided walking tour, time to explore with endless photo opportunities, and a chance to eat delicious and authentic Indian food at the cafe for lunch.
Students will depart campus promptly at 8 AM and will return to campus by 3 PM dismissal. Students must arrive to school on time in order to attend.
Please ensure students are prepared to adhere to the temple’s dress code and visitor guidelines:
No sleeveless or low-cut tops
No shorts, skirts, or dresses above knee-length
No clothing that reveals the shoulders, chest, back, or knees
No clothing containing offensive language or imagery
