Cloud Students Explore Their Roots

In this past FlexFriday workshop “Creating Family Histories,” Cloud students made cross-curricular connections with studies of migration factors that many students are exploring in Brett’s Human Civilization class. The workshop began with a collaborative activity where students mapped the diverse places our community members’ families have lived around the world. From there, students chose between interviewing a family member to uncover new stories or creating a piece of perspective art inspired by a family story they already knew. The activity encouraged creative expression and a deeper understanding of the rich personal and cultural heritage in our community.
